Our Story
During our first year, we launched our Dr. Seuss themed Literacy Program serving Pre-K through 2nd grade students of Memphis. The program expanded throughout the community and continues to grow. We also rolled out the red carpet for our first Senior's Prom serving the senior adults residing at Memphis Housing Authority high rise in downtown Memphis. We continued to host this event again in 2019 and 2020. In 2018 our Bibs, Bottles and Blankets project was born. In partnership with the March of Dimes, we were able to provide care packages for families of babies born prematurely within LeBonheur's NICU. With the onset of Covid-19, we paused our Senior's Prom and Bibs, Bottles and Blanket projects. In the fall of 2018, our Hats and Hoodies program was in full swing providing hundreds of hats, scarves, gloves and socks to children through direct distribution and bulk donations to schools, churches, law enforcement and other charitable organizations. A review of our history would not be complete without our Winter Wonderland Holiday Exhibit and Toy Giveaway. Hosted at Hollywood Community Center in 2018 and 2019, Hughes Community Center and Enchanted HQ in 2020 and most recently, the Hickory Hill Community Center in 2021 and 2022. A fun, family oriented event providing hundreds of underserved children 0-12 with gifts, games, refreshments and most of all, a memory of community and giving during the holiday season.
